GABA (Gamma AminoButyricAcid) is an amino acid found in nature including rice, tea, vegetables, fruits and is particularly rich in fermented foods. GABA is a naturally occurring inhibitory neurotransmitter that calms the nervous system, reduces excessive adrenal cortisol and balances the alpha, theta and delta brain waves, to help you turn off your overactive mind, so you can get a deep physically rejuvenating sleep.
We use a proprietary lactobacillus fermented form of GABA, known as PharmaGABA, that is better absorbed and has a higher purity than non-fermented brands. People who take PharmaGABA fall asleep more easily and move more easily into a deeper, more rejuvenating sleep. They also experience a healthier balance of deep sleep to REM sleep and upon awakening report that they consistently feel more rested and satisfied.
GABA is a safe and effective fermented product that can improve quality of deep sleep. One study showed taking 100mg before bedtime resulted in faster sleep onset, due to an initial increase in alpha waves, leading to increased relaxation, followed by increased total delta, or deep wave sleep time. GABA also increases quality of sleep by reducing stress levels (Cortisol) and the frequency of nighttime urination.
Passion flower extract is a standardized herbal extract of Passiflora Incarnata L., a perennial creeping vine native to America and cultivated in the USA, north of Africa and some European countries. Extracts of Passiflora incarnata are used to treat symptoms of tenseness, restlessness and irritability with difficulty in falling asleep. It is frequently used in combination with other sedative plant and is notable for its particularly high level of safety. Neither dependence nor withdrawal symptoms have been reported.
Multiple human clinical studies have all reported significant benefits from Passiflora incarnata treatment in comparison to placebo conditions as well as to Benzodiazepine (BDZ) drugs. A double‐blind Randomized Controlled Trial of 40 dental surgery patients (Dantas et al., 2017), showed 260 mg of Passiflora incarnata orally administered 30 min before dental surgery reduced subjective anxiety along with physiological indicators (i.e., blood pressure and heart rate) to the same extent as midazolam, with fewer cognitively‐impairing side effects.
Take 1-3 capsules at bedtime, or as directed by your healthcare provider.
